💬 The final t in violet is usually silent, so it sounds roughly like (vee-oh-lay).

💬 For colors, marron means brown. Unlike many color words, marron often stays unchanged instead of adding extra endings.

💬 French usually puts the describing word after the noun, so couleur grise is literally color gray. Also, gris changes to grise here because couleur is feminine.

💬 In phrases like couleur argent, the second word can act like a material or shade label, so it does not change to match couleur. Compare couleur grise, where the ordinary adjective does change.
