How to Say ‘Do you have (it)?’ in Japanese

ありますか

💬 Usage Tip: [ありますか] is a polite question: “Do you have…?” For experience, it pairs with verbs: [〜したことはありますか].

Polite stem of ある. With 〜たことがあります means “have experience of …”.

Example

I have experience assisting with bathing, and I can also provide supervision.

Polite ending that makes the verb formal (あります). Common in interviews.

Example

経験があり、学ぶ意欲もあります。
