How to Say ‘Is a card okay?’ in Japanese

カードでいいですか。

kaado de ii desu ka

[kah-doh de ee dess ka]

💬 Usage Tip: でいいですか asks "is ... okay?" and works with anything you want to check: 現金でいいですか "is cash okay?"

🇯🇵 In Japan: Most city taxis now take cards and IC cards like Suica. Asking first is still polite, since some smaller cabs are cash only.
