At the airport: Common vocab and phrases

💬 At Mexican airports, you'll also hear [pase de abordar] called [pase de abordar] or [boarding pass], but [abordar] is the verb behind it: [abordar el avión] = board the plane. The same pattern shows up in [hora de abordar].

💬 [De mano] literally means "of hand," and it's a reusable pattern for things you carry with you: [equipaje de mano], [bolsa de mano]. Don't translate it word-for-word as "hand luggage" in your head; just learn [de mano] as "carry-on/hand-carried."

🇲🇽 In Mexico, [documentación] is not the most natural airport word for check-in. You're more likely to hear [mostrador], [check-in], or [documentar equipaje] if you're checking bags.
