Lesson Roleplay

Imagine you're calling a restaurant where you've booked a table for ten on Saturday. You want to ask about cancelling and get your confirmation email.

Restaurant Lindenhof, guten Abend, Sie sprechen mit Frau Krüger. Was kann ich für Sie tun?

Restaurant Lindenhof, good evening, you're speaking with Ms. Krüger. What can I do for you?

Good evening, this is Smith. I've reserved a table for ten people on Saturday and I have a question about cancelling.

Gern.

Of course. For groups of eight or more, we ask for cancellation at least 48 hours in advance, so by Thursday at 7 pm

And what happens if we cancel later, or if a few people drop out at short notice?

If you cancel the whole booking after the deadline, we charge 20 euros per person. You can cancel for individual people until Saturday at noon.
