Lesson Roleplay

Imagine you're at a bar in Lisbon. You want to chat with someone sitting alone and offer to buy them a drink.

Hi, sorry to interrupt. Are you waiting for someone, or can I keep you company for a bit?

Hi! Actually, I'm waiting for a friend, but she's running late. You can sit down.

Obrigado. Reparei que tens o copo quase vazio. Posso oferecer-te outra bebida?

Thanks. I noticed your glass is nearly empty. Can I buy you another drink?

Oh, that's sweet! I'll accept, but only if it's non-alcoholic, since I drove here.

Of course, no problem at all. Would you prefer a juice, a sparkling water or something else?
