Lesson Roleplay

Imagine you're calling a restaurant in Spain. You want to book a private space for a company dinner with about eighteen people.

Buenas tardes.

Good afternoon. I wanted to ask about the possibility of booking a private space for a group.

Buenas tardes. Claro, ¿para cuántas personas sería y qué día tenían pensado?

Good afternoon. Of course, how many people would it be for, and what day did you have in mind?

There'd be about eighteen of us, on Friday the 14th in the evening. It's a company dinner.

Oh, the large private room is already taken that Friday. But we have a semi-private area at the back, separated by a screen.

And can you hear much of the dining room noise there? There'll be a toast or two, and we wouldn't want to disturb anyone.
