💬 [〜したい] means "want to do," so [お願いしたい] is literally "want to ask/request." You'll see the same pattern in [予約したい] "I want to reserve" and [変更したい] "I want to change it."

💬 [のですが] often softens what comes before and sets up a request or explanation, rather than strongly meaning "but." A useful pattern is [予約したいのですが] "I'd like to make a reservation..." or [確認したいのですが] "I'd like to check..."

💬 This sentence uses [〜たいのですが] to make a request sound less direct and more polite. You can reuse it with other verbs: [変更したいのですが。] "I'd like to make a change."

💬 Put [の] between two nouns and the first one describes the second: here, [希望] + [の] + [日時] = "preferred date and time." The same pattern works in [来週の土曜日] "next Saturday."
