💬 [したい] attaches to the verb stem to say you want to do something: [予約したい] "want to reserve," [食べたい] "want to eat." In conversation, this is often softened with something after it, like [のですが] or [です] style wording.

💬 [のですが] often softens what you say and signals "so..." or "I was hoping..." more than a literal [but]. You'll hear it when making requests: [予約したいのですが] sounds gentler than stopping at [予約したいです].

💬 [Vたい] means "want to do [V]," so [予約したい] is "want to make a reservation." The [のですが] at the end softens it into a polite lead-in, like "I'd like to..., if possible."

💬 Put [の] between time words like this to narrow it down: [今週末の夜] = "this weekend's evening/night." You can swap the first part: [土曜日の夜] "Saturday night," [明日の夜] "tomorrow night."

💬 For customers or guests, [名様] is the polite way to count people instead of plain [人]. So a restaurant asks [何名様] rather than [何人].

🇯🇵 This is standard service language in Japan and sounds normal in restaurants, hotels, and clinics. You usually wouldn't use [名様] for your own group unless you're speaking very formally in a customer-service context.
